Research
With a passion for interdisciplinary exploration started in high-school, my academic journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in Comparative Literature and English Language from Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. This program's focus on the nexus between literature, history, and social sciences fueled my pursuit of a Master of Arts in History of Ideas at Babes-Bolyai University. After graduating this program, I wanted to delve more into the historical methodology. My decision was to follow the Master of Research program Mondes Contemporains at the Universite Sorbonne Paris IV, where I researched the reception of American counterculture in Eastern and Central Europe.
Driven by this amazing topic, I furthered my studies at the European University Institute as a PhD Researcher, investigating the hippie movement through oral history and archival inquiries under the guidance of Prof. Alexander Etkind. This research culminated in my dissertation, which was later published as a book titled "The Long 1968 in Hungary and Romania" by De Gruyter in 2024.
Education
I always favored non-formal education as a form of teaching within Humanities field. That is why I tried to include as much as possible non-formal teaching methods within various educational initiatives.
Currently, within these educational formats, I instruct courses in history, cultural studies, social sciences, and innovative public history projects, employing a student-centered approach to foster deep learning experiences. My commitment to student success extends beyond the classroom, as I also serve as a college advisor, guiding students through their academic journeys and college applications, resulting in successful placements into universities worldwide.
